Lulu Publishing: Author's Spotlight

1:46 AM , 0 Comments

You fine folks out there in internet-land probably aren't aware of this, but I have released a few books in association with Lulu Publishing. The books are admittedly light on text (meaning almost no words at all) as they are more of a focus for my artistic endeavors. My personal philosophy on art books is that if a picture is truly worth a thousand words, wouldn't a book consisting purely of images speak the loudest?

I'll spotlight individual books I've released in due time, but I just wanted to give a heads up to those who might be interested in checking out the whole shebang now. The publisher's website does allow free previews of their books. All of my release are also available in eBook form for your tablets and other whoozawhatzits if the printed page isn't your thing.

POTD [04-02-12]

As a counterpoint to yesterday's inaugural POTD post of Superman, today we shall focus on his highest profile nemesis, Lex Luthor. Lex is pictured above in his "Power Armor", which is derived from Kryptonian technology and is both powered and weaponized with kryptonite.

"You need me, you wouldn't be much of a hero without a villain, and you love being a hero, don't you? The cheering children, the swooning women; you love it so much it's made you my most reliable accomplice. You could have crushed me any time you wanted, and it wasn't the law or the will of the people that stopped you. It was your ego, being a hero was too important to you. You're as much responsible for this as I am, so go ahead, fix it somehow, put me on trial, lock me up, but I'll beat it... and then we start the whole thing all over again." - Lex Luthor (Justice League: A Better World)

POTD [04-01-12]

I've decided to put one piece of my work up every day for your enjoyment (or displeasure... whichever). I'll let ya in on inside info (ala "Storytellers") whenever appropriate.

Feel free to leave comments, I would love to get some feedback on this stuff.

To start I'm going to go against type and not show you any of my "traditional" works off the bat. I'm gonna start with a little photography. Action Figure Photography.

Here's a fantastic shot I made with a Canon Rebel T3. I was moving the figure side to side while photographing it, trying to get the after image of Superman's costume to somehow emulate his super speed.

I think it turned out great! What do y'all think?

Since this blog is just starting out, I guess I'll take the time to link all of you good people to places where I can be found in this infinite expanse we call the internet.

Previously, I shared my DeviantArt profile for your browsing and perusal.

Now, I get to show you what happens to some of the designs I've created and posted over @DeviantArt.
They become awesome Zazzle products!

My words don't do most of these items justice. So go check em out. I'll highlight individual sections of my Zazzle Store from time to time as Zazzle offers specials deals on their items occasionally.

Here's a link to my DeviantArt profile for those interested.

As of this post, I have 1,083 awesome ass Deviations in my gallery!

I know it seems like a lot, but I've still got so much to upload it's ridiculous.I'm pretty consistantly uploading new pieces there all the time. Oftentimes I feel as like I'll never catch up with my output, though.

Oh, well. Just gotta keep it up I guess...

Welcome!

11:30 AM 0 Comments

By viewing this image, you are hereby welcomed to this site. No takebacks!

I'm just a lowly artist and designer trying to funnel the vortex of his internet prowess into one spot.

Hopefully this will take away the weird sensation I get of feeling super spread out all over the internet in regards to my personal pursuits.

Between DeviantArt, Google+, Facebook, my Zazzle store, my Lulu Publishing store, Ebay, Gawker sites, and other misc affilitations, I often lose track of what pieces of my work I've uploaded where.

So that's what this will be. The diving board everything else in my digital life will spring to or from.

Welcome!
